Spring on Skyline

Howdy All :)

Went up yesterday (May 1) at 5 AM. I've been starting at daybreak and almost forgot how much I enjoy seeing the lights of Palm Springs on the ascent. It was a very peaceful and meditative hike -- did not see anyone else the entire time. The wildflowers and cacti are starting to bloom and the bees are buzzing in the chinquapin above Flatrock. There were lots of lizards but no snakes or biting insects. Should be gorgeous this weekend.

Miles of smiles,
Ellen

It was great to seeing you yesterday and better yet no blood

On a side note the Rangers just hiked up one that dehydrated and cramped up at the 7500’, it getting hot so remember the fluids and salt.
