Skyline/museum parking this weekend

Postby Florian » Mon Apr 30, 2012 1:28 pm

There is a large event taking place at the O’Donnell golf club on Saturday night. They will be using the museum's north parking lot beginning Thursday afternoon for deliveries and setup. Just a heads up to anyone doing Skyline this coming weekend that you may not be able to park in the north museum parking lot. There is street parking on Museum Drive. This would also be a good time to go up from the Ramon trailhead instead.

Heroes In Recovery will also be using the lot Saturday 5a to 11:30a for a 6K race.

Skyline nub, here, looking at a satellite map of Skyline trailhead. Can anyone confirm: The Ramon trailhead is at the W Ramon Rd and La Mirada Rd junction? The faint switchbacks meet the main Skyline trail at the top of the ridge, NNW of this trailhead?

Planning a Sunday ascent.

Correct. Parking is allowed on the north side of Ramon.

First time for you Feeel? Good for you, hope you have fun. Ramon is actually a nice approach and there may even be some wildflowers right now!

UPDATE: Because of the 6k race there will be no street parking anywhere near the museum on Saturday.
