Doreen has the record by far (21 more than me) and she will still add a bunch more 8) -- Ellen will become her next rival :)

To Skyline Queen

Postby Bivouac » Fri Apr 13, 2012 2:02 pm

I remember a day many years ago when an angel appeared at the campsite overlooking Chino Canyon and offered food to me and my cramped up starving friend which was a great offering. This tan gazelle then quickly disappeared into the brush and out of sight and all i knew about her was that she worked at some RE company. Since then Doreen you have produced many wonderful memories and many laughs and a few tears of joy and as always, I can't wait for whatevs next! Congrats... Sid n Karen

Keep on, keeping on Doreen! It was great to finally meet you when I did Skyline recently. I did feel as though I was meeting a living legend!

Norma - Thanks for the memory. I enjoyed your company.
Sid Davis took me up there the first time in the mid sixties with the Sierra Club.
He climbed San Jacinto 643 times mainly from the mountain station.
Twelve times in his eighties
