Snow on skyline

General Palm Springs area.

Aha! By responding to my "greyhound request," Steve is admitting that he has speedy alien DNA 8) I wanted to see how quickly someone would respond -- Speedy Blue wins.

Rumor has it that the Dynamic Duo has carried and used snowshoes on Skyline before...

It would be easier for someone to hike down Skyline with snowshoes and beat in the trail, then hike back up.

Just kidding

Deer always visit the bush we had designated as an outhouse - salt lick indeed!

when we did that Ellen, snow was way deeper than posthole depth for the two of us....other than tunneling, it was our only option..and it's so steep it sucked. although they were great from 4000' to 6000'

Howdy Speedy Steve :)

I'll never forget texting you while I was comfortably eating lunch at Las Casuelas -- you and Fern were breaking trail on the traverse in snowshoes and it was snowing. You guys are amazing and we lesser mortals appreciate everything you do to keep Skyline accessable.

Miles of smiles and thanks,
Ellen
