MY PCT hike Campo to Hwy 74 02/02/12to 02/13/12

I made a quick video of my PCT hike I got it down to 11 minutes for a 11 day 151 mile hike. The hike was great it's pretty country this time of year. I sure was lucky with the weather I was 2 day's ahead of the plan just right to miss this storm. I did alot better than I thought I would and realy enjoyed it I'll be hitting the trail again at the PCT at snow creek/black mnt in 2 week's I already did the San Jacintos and with all this snow I'm not going to do it again. Hope you enjoy the video.

How's the trail from Warner Springs to Hwy 74. I'm hoping to do this as a day hike sometime this spring. How's the water situation?

Hal the trail was in great shape it's not flat there is about 6-7k of easy climbing between warner sp and the 74 and it's 40 miles I was 10-11 day's in to my hike and had a backpack on and it diden't seem to hard so you might be able to do it in a day depending on your fittness? The section from barrel sp to warner is way more beutifull that's were the boulders in the video are and the roling medows and it got some good climb's and I dident pick of any tick's. There are alot of ticks starting 6 mile's out of warner sp. As for water here is the link to the PCT water report from AsAbat it's updated by us hikers. Warner to 74 is nice I might do it again, Barrel sp to Warner is exelent and I will do it again!

Hal I spaced out by telling you the boulder feild was before warner sp it's about 13 miles after so my rateing of warner to the 74 just jumped 10 point's. thank's Andy.

40 miles is not out of the question for me. I'm not in the best shape I've ever been but I did 35 miles once when I was in worse shape. Thanks for the info. I'm thinking mid-late March if anyone's interested.

Thank's glad you guy's enjoyed the video I'm Not sure how far I'm going after snow creek it's kind of up to the weather I started early so I could enjoy the hike and postholing for day's on end?? I think I'll save that for the Sierras I have all the time in the world between now and then I will be staying in Yucca inbetween hikes and if it's doable I still haven't had a chance to do skyline I hope to sneek in a skyline in the next month or so it should fit great with my plan not to let my feet get to soft between PCT sections.
