Thanks Ellen. Sounds like conditions are really nice. Might be the last chance to go before the snow builds up. If you go, would you be starting before dawn?

Howdy Z :)

When it's this cool, I start in the daylight sometime between 6 and 7 AM 8) Forecast is for a low of 45 and high of 63 in Palm Springs -- perfect polar bear weather.

3 to 5 inches of snow starting at flatrock. 5 to 10 inches in the traverse, take microspikes, and poles would be helpful. Watch out for the old ice patches under the new snow starting at the traverse. Its slippery when you step threw the new snow and catch ice. Had nice 3 person trail knocked in but it started snowing when were heading back down at around 3pm. So that trial could be gone by tomorrow.

Howdy InFerno :)

Thanks so much for the trail report. If I do Skyline tomorrow, it looks like I'll start in shorts and put on knee high gaiters when I reach the snow 8)

Appreciate the Three Musketeers breaking in the trail :)
