The road to dark cyn cg is paved I'v done it on a road bicycle after that I dont know. If I was to head up there knowing the little I do but living up here and knowing how the roads to trails are I would go with the high clearance vehicle I have just been on the top part of 7pines I have been going up marion mt trail since 7p was closed it suck's that the ranger station is closed during the week now for info. Atleast they are leaving permits out front the state ranger s wasen't earlyer in the year so I had to plan way ahead. Wish I could be of more help I hike all around that trail just not on it since it was closed.

Howdy Sam :)

As Backwoods noted, the road to Dark Canyon campground is paved. However, the road to Seven Pines trailhead is dirt, narrow and steep. My buddy Sally took her front wheel drive Toyota up in the summer and reached the trailhead but she's braver than I am

Miles of smiles,
