Actually my comment was only slightly 'tongue in cheek'. Since I dont live in Palm Springs but visit two to three times a year I want to get to the point where I can do skyline in the winter. For the last two years its just been October, so the weather was less of a concern. Now I am quite interested in the predictions since my windows for skyline hikes are small.
And somehow this thread has become a bit 'passionate', which only adds to my interest as this is all new to me.

I'm monitoring the area because I'll be up at the tree lighting on Sunday.
