Thanks, Pi, for the nice pics and trip report. They really satisfied my curiosity of how things look up there now. I can't wait until there is a bit more snow so we can break out the snowshoes! Maybe the storm this weekend will do the trick.

planning to do this on 26th Nov

Hello

I am planning to do the marion mountain hike on coming Saturday (Nov 26th).
It will be snowing on Thursday. This is my first time hiking in snow. The gear I have is

running shoes
snow shoes
trekking pole

Can anyone please tell me if I should go for the hike with this or do I need boots and gaiters.
