lol that's cute!
Part of being a dad. It helps when they're sweet and cute. You don't mind carrying them nearly so much :)

Convince her that if she makes it to the top, you'll carry her down :D

She's not quite old enough for "incentive based" bargaining. All the world is now when you're two years old.

Wow! A fellow Trangia user. Aren't too many Trangias around in the US although they're super popular world wide.

If you want a stove that absolutely will work in any conditions without fail, the Trangia is it. If I'm ever in a howling gale, I want a Trangia. They're not fast, but there's just nothing to go wrong on them. They're the kind of stove you could leave in your garage for 25 years and then go out and use it without any problems whatsoever.

Of course, technique is everything. Here, Hikin' Joyce demonstrates the proper technique.

I've had issues with leaving stoves in my garage out here in the desert. The heat does a number on O-rings. Of course, when it happened to my Trangia, I just went to the local Ace Hardware and bought one for about a buck. I love that little stove and when I last did Whitney I took the stove and a pot, used a few rocks for support and had water going before my friends with their MSR. No putting it together, pumping, priming or adjusting required. Just open the lid and light. When you're only boiling two cups of water, it's awesome.

I also have a nice assortment of Sigg bottles. Target was clearing their stock out and I bought quite a few for less than $5 each.

Psst. Hey guys. Shhh. It's me Hikin' Joyce. I'm using the computer while daddy is talking to mama.

Do you think Auntie Tina would notice if I stowed away in one of her expedition's packing boxes?

Awww....

If Hikin' Joyce ever stows away with any of us, you're gonna have a long list of suspects...

I'm enjoying the fact that when you reply, you post a new pic of that sweet little thing. My girls just loved her at the camp out, so they like to see the pictures too. What was she for Halloween?

Isn't that a cute little picture? That's one of our moving boxes which she has appropriated as her "house." Sometimes I'll come downstairs and not see her ... then I'll see the "house" move. She'll be in her own little world in there. It's awfully cute. :)
