Me too. Sorry to hear the bad news, and my heart goes out to his family and loved ones, but when the time comes, I hope to be so lucky.

How unfortunate. RIP.

The Lykken trail is the one that leads up to the picnic tables right?

There are two sections to the Lykken. The north from the end of Ramon joins the Skyline and Museum trail. There are picnic tables east of that junction on what i'd call the Museum trail.

The south Lykken is between Mesquite Ave and the canyon near where South Palm Canyon and Murray Canyon roads intersect. There are picnic tables at both ends of the southern section. The death was up from the Mesquite Ave trailhead.

So yes, picnic tables all over the place! There are picnic tables on top of Murray Hill too.
