Boo Hoff Trail, La Quinta

Most likely headed up Boo Hoff tomorrow morning around 7:30ish. Then possibly Bear Creek Oasis trail depending on how hot it gets.

Might take the loop to the lake and back instead of Bear Creek depending on the heat. Suppose to be a bit cooler out from the clouds.

From the Boo Hoff behind the sign, you can cut across to the Bear Creek wash. It's a good shortcut.

Bear Creek Oasis is longer than what the maps say. Don't make my mistake and only bring enough water for 5 or 6 mi RT. I've heard it's actually 8-9 miles RT. It's a decent climb.

I ended up getting to Boo Hoff then coming back and exploring a bit by the wash. Found a few signs people/weather have broken and brought them to the parking lot. It was a bit hotter then I wanted it to be and I only took 100oz which went pretty quick after the Boo Hoff climb. Looking to do the loop this Saturday possible start sooner to beat the heat a bit and bring extra water.

I've done the Bear Oasis and I agree it seems to be over 6 miles with some pretty good size rocks especially if you do the loop to the left and swing around back to the trail.
