Reminder: Tramway is closed

Postby Florian » Mon Sep 12, 2011 11:31 am

Reminder to any potential Skyline hikers that the tramway is closed through 9/25. If you plan to hike the Skyline anytime in the next two weeks you'll either need to walk back down or find another way off the mountain.

I posted a couple of signs at the museum trailhead this morning .. http://www.flickr.com/photos/fboyd/6140723851/

My muscles and lungs could handle it, but clearly your knees come from a different planet than mine :)
I LOVE the tram.
(oh yeah, have to do my first C2C first...still 800 feet short)

But I love the trip reports on C2C2C.

I did a Skyline out and back on Saturday. Made it to the tram station around noon and the doors were open so I walked in and said hi to the guys working, filled up my water bottles, and started my descent. My thighs are still sore from trying to fly down. Got kinda lost too on the way back but was able to find the trail again after 10 minutes. Gave me a good scare though. I can definitely navigate up and down it now.
