@ Steve, yes, that was me hanging out at my usual perch. I decided to stick close to the tram since I was only prepared for fair weather and it didn't look too cooperative, especially after getting rained off the peak on Monday. Since you didn't say "Hi" I was wondering if we weren't on speaking terms anymore

...seems some people think they can do the hike because they were in the military. we know how that's turned about before...

i dunno what that means, but I'm just paraphrasing what one of the hikers actually said. luckily he seemed to bail on the hike the last few days.

Patrick - Katherine is organising a Skyline hike on Oct 1. I am thinking of going too or if not, the Sierra Club has a organised moonlight hike on Oct 22 at 4.00 am
