Tahquitz Peak

Went to Tahquitz Peak via Welman's-Saddle Junction and did a loop coming back through Tahquitz Valley, Skunk Cabbage and up Willow Creek. It's beautiful now...lush, green and a good bit of water flowing on the trail heading down from Welman's.

Thanks so much for the trip report, it was really beautiful this weekend.

Is there chance you can be more specific about the water flow? I have a trip planned for August 20-21st but my friends won't show go unless they are assured there is enough water to filter.

I did a similar "figure 8" on August 12. All the main water sources were flowing, probably the low side of moderate flow. Willow creek was tasty, though the slower flow through Law's wasn't as enticing. CCC has removed all the fallen trees from trails to and from Law's. Smaller springs along trail were not flowing, some were damp. Still a nice trickle fall on Devils Slide for washing the day's salt and dust off before getting back to the car.
