Would you believe that someone (zoomloco) did Cactus to Clouds during the Independance Day weekend heatwave chasing after the SoCal Triple Crown.

I had *considered* doing C2C on the 4th. But weather.com convinced me it wasn't such a great idea...

Good decision Soulcamp. The temperature at 3.00 am was 88 degrees. Any temperature over 75 or 80 degrees to start is a bad idea. I tried it once at midnight to see the fireworks and lived (barely) to regret it.

There is one thing worse than Cactus to Clouds in July. Its the Badwater to Whitney 135 mile marathon :)
