Little Round Valley

A buddy and I are attempting to go up Devil's slide all the way to the peak and camp at Little Round Valley on Sat. I reading that its going to be really windy up there. Is there any kind of cover at LRV to break the wind at all? Never been up there before

Yes i would consider LRV to be somewhat sheltered. Plenty of big boulders for shelter too. Gonna be chilly up there Sunday night. Forecast to be in the mid 30's in Idyllwild, and it can be 20 degrees cooler up there. Please post the trail conditions upon your return. I'm curious to know what the trail is like between the peak and LRV.

I would say, prepare for the worst. The LRV is more-or-less shielded by peaks (except west). But winds like valleys and use them as channels to flow from mountains to plains. So you need to be prepared for windy and "noisy" night.

I seen some very windy nights there. There are a lot of sites, so shop around.
