I think the biggest issue is people not used to the heat dont realize they need to start gettin hydrated the day BEFOR hiking in heat. that includes NO alcohol the night b4 as well. and you need long sleeve lightweight columbia shirts and long dry-fit pants and hat to keep the sun off you. I only wear shorts n tanktops if its UNDER 90-95, if its over, you need protection/be covered up out in the desert especially on any hike over 2-3 hrs, . I always take frozen water bottles too, that way after 8 miles i still have real cold water to drink which is way better than warm water. and wen frozen you can hold em against your neck to cool down a lil, thats wat i do anyways
