Walt:

I'm all confirmed, and I look forward to seeing you (and everyone else) at 11:00 AM on Saturday. My girlfriend will accompany me, so increment you headcount +2. (Geez, do I sound like a computer nerd or what?)

I can pretty much bring whatever is needed. Salad is fine or sodas or ... you tell me.

By the way, did you get the 411 on a place to stash an ice chest (or anything else for that matter)?

Hello to all,

Here is what I found out yesterday after checking with the Rangers. The tables are first come first serve. I'll plan to get there early and reserve a few of them. There are a group of 4 that sit at the bottom right side of the concrete path under the trees. I'll be looking to setup us up there.

No ice is available up to so it needs to be brought with you. Perhaps we could keep the amount of ice required to a minimum by bringing dishes that don't require a lot of refrigeration. Think no mayo and no ice cream!

The Rangers wouldn't take charge of anything for us but said there has not been any reports of thefts from coolers left on picnic tables. Guess that means there's no Yogi bears in San Jacinto!

Everyone please feel free to bring whatever you like. Its been my experience that there's always plenty of varity that way.

Right now I have a standing head count of about 16 with an additional 6 with the Rangers that will be working. If you haven't posted or shot me a PM please let me know by Tuesday as thats when I'll be purchasing meat.

Sure hope to see all of you on Saturday! :D

No problem Alan. We'll miss you but not to worry. This is going to be the 1st of a group throughout the year.

Today is the day I will pickup BBQ meat and start prepping it. I intend to have enough on hand to feed those who have posted and the Rangers who work up top. Right now I am working on 16 attendees plus 6 Rangers.

As a round up I think Zippety is coming up from the musuem. Cy is catching the 1st car up as perhaps is Hikin_Jim. We'll probably see SS coming down from his summit hike and Perry will run in if he isn't competing in a race that day.

There are more than a few of the legends I haven't heard from or don't know how to contact. Cy - SS if you guys could give a shout out to your fellow "I've done it hundreds of timers" I would appreciate it. We usually have too much food and too little time at these things so please stop by!

My girlfriend, Michiko, will be joining me (translation: no first tram up arrival; she's "not a morning person"). We're shooting for 10:30 arrival.

Hello !!
My name is Donnie and I am from Palm Desert and recently found this forum from an ad on Craigslist. Looks like a great idea for members to meet atop the Tram. I have a tram pass and if nothing comes up at work I think I would be interested in joining you. Is anyone hiking before the BBQ ?

Hey Donnie, welcome a-board! I saw some silly ad for meeting fitness partners, you know those sites that trick people into thinking it's free, but then you gotta pay to contact someone (like roommates.com etc). Some things in life should be free! That's quite a slide show you got!
