Its over here in PS, its been raining for hours here at my place, and I cant see the mtns. Hopefully theyre gettin covered in snow

The 'fecal' would be fecal coliform - a bacterial test that's only an indicator of warm-blooded animal poop (there's no definative test for specific contamination). And warm-blooded animals include a regular population of coyotes, rodents of all types, skunks, squirrels, possums, rabbits, mice, birds . . . and a few humans in the spring. Considering how nice the Snow Creek drainage is for animals to birth and raise their young'uns in the spring (same time of year folks like to climb Snow Creek), and how climbing-types are a little more considerate of where they 'take care of business' than all those animals, the DWA is distorting the facts. Warren the Warden is just passing along the message.

If you're really interested in the quality of the water coming out of the drainage, you can request the data from the DWA. They may charge you for reproduction costs, but they can't flat-out reject requests for the data since they are a public agency.

Storm FAIL. All predictions of record low levels of snow were way off. The storm a week ago had lower snow levels.

Hi Brett, so you dragging in your tent into the boonies this weekend ?

Hey Steve. No camping this weekend. Just shoveling snow. We got about about 20-24 inches of fresh snow last night and today. On top of the 15 inches we got here last weekend it will make a nice base on the south side of the mountain. Should be great conditions for snow shoeing for the next few weeks.

yea Brett..northsides going to be good too ! we'll have to get together (maybe on your side over there, theres a coffee shop in Idyllwild that I don't get nearly enough of). enjoy that snow.
