very nice. those ridges look like a lot of fun. I think there's different names (leatherneck, telelphone, north ridge) for the different spurs that all connect high up. maybe starting at Windy Point is the 'north ridge' route...I wonder how it compares to this one.

Ze..the windy point ridge is the ridge they were on, starting out there is just more mileage..(your favorite). Leatherneck and NR are the same..telephone pole is different and on private property. There are also some ribs on the east side of Chino canyon that offer some great views and alot to explore, just not quite as dramatic as the views into Falls and Snowcreek.

Nice job gentlemen. Your timing was perfect too. Another week and you'd have been too late. As an aside, how long do you think it would have taken you, if everyone was healthy? Anyway... a new alternative to Skyline.

Yup, the conditions have changed dramatically.

With everyone healthy, we would have done it in about ten hours.

Since they started from the tram area, they went up to the ridge north of Chino, "B", I think.

ridge "A" is where Windy Point is... the two ridges separate Blaisdell canyon, and connect up at ~ 7500'...so that's a lot of terrain that could be different between the two, I would think you would have to differentiate between them, and "A" would seem better associated with "north ridge".

Where is the telephone pole ridge compared to these two?
