Howdy All

Our RMRU mountain angels came through again. These folks are amazing -- I love them. It was great to see them on the mountain last weekend and thank them again in person for saving my life.

Another person saved by the shelter. Maybe it should be SOP to send someone to check the shelter any time someone is missing in that vicinity.

Hikin_Jim - Yes there are definitely patterns for lost (or need to be rescued) missing persons. The peak stone shelter is one. Another are the drainages heading toward the lights of Palm Springs (Long Valley and Tahquitz drainage). RMRU keeps these in mind and are often the first places checked.

Thank god for people like them who do mankind a great service by coming to the rescue of lost souls. This is the umpteenth success story that I have heard and it is very heartening to hear about such miracles. Hope they have all the infrastructure and necessary funds for this to go forth in a big way!
