My thermos is missing!

Postby Kathryn61 » Sat Dec 25, 2010 8:07 pm

I know it's a long shot...but I Just thought I'd mention...Friday when I went to the peak, I lost my thermos on the way down. I had it in the side pocket of my pack and I think it fell out on the numerous times when I tripped in the deep snow and ended up somersaulting down the hill! This happened somewhere on the upper and steep part of the mountain. The thermos is dark blue.

Thanks in advance if you find it!

Kathryn

Oh yea...John took some amazing pictures! If anyone wants to see even more amazing snow pics, here's the link:

Kathryn, I'm going up on Tuesday. If I spot a blue thermos you'll be the first to know.

Your pictures sealed the deal for my trip planning. Simply gorgeous views. I'm hoping to catch a few myself.

Hi Kathryn,
I'll keep an eye out, the Mt. may have received a bit more last night & buried it.

Great photos by John, thanks for posting, it truly is a magical area after a major storm.

Good News Katherine :D

I have your Thermos I think..it looks black to me, but I am sure it is dark blue..I picked it up coming down on Friday afternoon, in about the same area you said..I am thinking of going up again either tomorrow or Tuesday..pm me and we can figure out how I can get it back to you..I also picked up a sunglass holder sleeve/lens cleaner thing at the peak, so let me know if anyone from your group is missing that..I was going to leave with the top tram people, but figured I would have a better chance with this forum..

here are a few pictures from my trip

edit: well that didn't work, hard to do anything from these library computers  nice new camera, but cant even download the pictures..I cant see why they block all of the picture hosting sites..
but just imagine trees full of ice, with a sound of rain with the occasional crashing sound of breaking glass..a very cool time 8)

edit again: got 1 to work..ha

Smelled like horchata to me  I have decided to go up again tomorrow so I will leave it with someone at the lower tram station with your name on it and sorry about butchering your name above. Kathryn not Katherine. Got it.

It was actually Chai tea!

Thanks for leaving it! I'll get it as soon as I can get up there...
