PCT to tram this Friday

General Palm Springs area.

Plot 45 shows her close to the tram! Woo Hoo! :)

Plot 45 posted around 8:19 PM (30 minutes ago). She could be at the tram now. None too soon either! She might have made it there with an hour to spare.

Re her going too far north on the summit. Maybe not. I looked at satellite view, and I could see the actual trail. All of the plots were a little north and even more east of the actual position of the trail. It could be a NAD 27 vs. WGS 84 plotting error. Most maps are based on NAD 27, but GPS's which are newer are based on the more recent WGS 84.

Outstanding accomplishment Ellen! No doubt you've made the tram and are looking forward to warmth and rest. Would loved to have joined you! Wow - way to go... Now I understand "miles of smiles" a little better.

Plot 47 shows her at the Valley Station of the tram. :)

She just texted me. She said she'll post something -- just as soon as she comes out of her coma. (I think that means it was a good hike)

Outstanding!

Too bad Los Consuelas (sic!) is closed. I bet she's hungry.
