Hey Bluerail, you beat me to the post.
If anyone hiking Skyline notices any suspicious people or behavior, try & make a note, and tell the guys at the tram, or post on this board, so we can somehow track these yahoos down, there's way more us the good people on the trail to help stop this.
Regarding removal, a few of us have successfully removed prior markings, a few of us will use paint thinner & wire brush this wkend, sometimes just hard rubbing with another rock works, or, like Zip & others, a granite colored paint if needed.
If the folks who felt the need to deface this beautiful wilderness are reading this, there's really no need for this, these alternate trails are now easy to follow, and many of us keep an eye on the parking areas, foot prints, suspicious hikers, have direct contact with the rangers & tram folks, etc. Remember, there's only 2 ways up, or down this mt.
Please use common sense, courtesy & respect for the the area your still able to use & enjoy, (if your even able to enjoy yourself after doing this).
