btw...found something WAAAY cooler than a Mylar ballon yesterday, on a ridge yesterday @ about 1600' I found the remants of a homemade hot air balloon with a battery and lghtbulb in a tethered luminated bag. That has to have me way covered on the mylar ballon count. The whole rig was actually as heavy as a FULL water bottle to carry out.

I saw it for myself today - it's harder to tell the trail from the shortcuts - especially in the dark, and the shortcuts now have shortcuts. A lot of people use the shortcuts; so they aren't going away anytime soon. Maybe the shortcuts will become the trail and we'll have a shorter trail. On another note, we now have nifty arrows to follow.

I noticed some of the Ribbonwood (Red Shank) Trees were butchered by someone who was afraid the trees might touch them as they passed by them on the trail. These weren't just trimmed - they were really chopped.

I think I'd rather see shortcuts than butchered trees.
