Yesterday, doing a c2c, we met a new friend. Carmen ran across him and we hiked with him the rest of the day. He's definetly an adventurer. He lives in San Francisco and wanted to do a C2C, so he rides 600 miles on a BMW dual sport motorcycle, taking only back roads and dirt roads all the way here. Checks in and rest on friday night, wakes up sat., runs the mile to the trailhead, does a 6 1/2 hour trip to the peak, eats and rest, rides a different off-road trip another 600 miles home on sunday to be at work mon. morning.
1200 miles on a 550 pound motorcycle is more than just alot of hard work, especially when its off road. But to do all that to go do a c2c ?!
I so completely suck.
btw, thanks everybody, had a great day and really enjoyed the new route to the peak. Thanks for going along.
