Best time of the year to hike

General Palm Springs area.

I was just invited out to Arizona this past Wednesday (short notice) and got the clearance to go. So, I be flying out and possibly going to PS on Sunday. If I decide to Hike, it would be Monday (early). I am definitely in shape. I will make the call when I get there, and will only go ahead if I am well rested and follow the guidance in the many threads posted over the last few days. I have also looked at older threads, too, so I feel I have the information. This is such an awesome hike and really pushes you physically and mentally, that is why it is so addictive. However, if it does not feel right, I will pass.

I've never known of a 'bad' time of year for hiking in the San J Wilderness. Mid-summer or mid-winter, its always a good time! :D
