Please also see topic: C2C2C? thoughts? Anyone interested?

Saturday October 9th is fast approaching...are you ready :?:

Hello everyone, just got back in town from a two week trip back to NY...squeezed in one last ultra marathon  before our C2C2C

Three weeks from Saturday is our C2C2C hikapalooza.

For those of you intending to do all of the C2C2C, or any portion of it, on Saturday October 9th, please read my initial posting(s) regarding preparation, what to expect, bail out points (and when you no longer can bail out  ) water availability and water cache.

I would still like to get an idea of what to expect in terms of the # of people who are planning on doing all or part of our C2C2C...please let me know if you're coming and if you expect to do all or what portion of C2C2C

I'm planning on doing at least a C2C2tram with my daughter and her friend. I would like to do the whole C2C2C enchilada but my daughter thinks I'm nuts (and she's probably right about that.) We will be getting a really early start.

I'll be starting out on a week long road trip October 9th; so C2C2C has definitely been put off until late October or early November for me.

Actually, if it's cool enough, i might just do up and down Skyline again. I hike to San Jacinto all summer and don't really see the point in adding that to a Skyline hike.

the pain Florian...the pain

was up at box 2 tonight in the dark, the lites on them are perfect. They are almost as bright as someone with a headlamp on at a distance. Just enough to give you some comfort, and guide you to them if you were in trouble up there.

Way cool. Is it one of those little blue lights that you see on people's lawns?

Florian: Great new avatar. You look like a bandit.

i sleep in the back of my pick up too; in the museum parking lot. i have never had a problem or been bothered. i usually do it at the opposite end of the TH, its darker and a little quieter.

then i move my truck to the nearby street before heading up the trail.
