Excuse me, but are you talking about South rim to North rim and back to south rim in 16 hrs.? Thats 48 miles roundtrip! Thats pretty much jogging the entire way.

It took me 12 hrs just to do the 16 miles from S. Kaibab to Bright Angel.

Yes, South rim to North rim and back with some jogging. 7 hrs 23 mins from South to North. 5 min break. Then 8 hrs 49 mins for the return.
