Skyline water cache

Rode up the 8am tramcar today and then walked down the Skyline to the 5700' water cache. Found an empty gallon jug and filled it with 3 quarts of water. Ran into a bunch of Skyline regulars that were taking advantage of today's unseasonable cool temps to hike up the trail.

It was a beautiful day on the trail. I don't think i would have believed that i would be doing that trail august 29th. the temps were so good i couldn't resist.

With your water cache at 5700' and the cache of water I have at 4600' or was that 4300'? Anyway, I shouldn't have to bring any water with me!

You might not want to plan on using Florian's cache. Yes, the cache is supposed to be for emergencies only, but also the cache gets raided by people and used as a trash can regularly. You can't really count on it being there. If you've got your own personal cache and it's well hidden, then you probably can count on that, but I wouldn't count on any easily visible cache being there.

Yeah, I was kidding..
Florian really is a saint for keeping that cache up..cause it is almost a full time job I just imagine people taking a break there in the shade and pouring water on their heads and having water balloon fights..
