Thanks for the great photo Pi,

Just curious...will these agencies weigh the whole load of plant material and "leaves", multiply it by $1000/oz value and mark this down as a million dollar bust?

...Or, just head to the nearest 7 11 and pick up a Slurpee and giant bag of Cheetos!?

So to get promoted in law enforcement, it would make sense to let the whole farm get really big, then bust them.

There was another huge seizure of marijuana in 2008. Here is an interesting quote from the article: "Forest Service officials were tipped off to the plantations when the Desert Water Agency in Snow Creek reported increased levels of human fecal matter at their treatment center."
Oops. There goes the basis of any legal action against any hikers/climbers.

It is rather hypocritical indeed.
Lots of chest thumping about keeping this "dangerous, evil drug off the streets!
Of course, the fact that many of the same folks abuse a "legal" substance & do bad things while under the influence receives little attention, or how many people are deriving real benefits from this centuries old plant.

Yes, most of these good folks are just doing their job & what they are told.

A bit like air-lifting backhoes, soil compactors, a small army of men into Round Valley to "Save the Meadow" in a few weeks, (if the State park has it's way); well intentioned, but at what cost & for what real benefit?

There's my little ramble...

What? That is so not a good idea, not to mention that it violates the Wilderness Act.
