After-hike dining in Palm Springs

Postby grumble » Thu Aug 19, 2010 7:02 am

I keep reading about people heading to Las Casuelas after a day in the mountains... the question is - which one??? It looks like there are about five of them. Is one different or better than the other. I have an addiction to cheese enchiladas and cold beer that I am trying to satisfy . Thanks in advance for your replies!

The original one on north Palm Canyon between Alejo and Amado. Parking lot in the back off of Indian Ave.

Someone on an earlier post mentioned a Mexican restaurant near the Ramon entrance to the trail with inexpensive beer and good food; other than Las Casuelas. I have been looking for it with no avail. Anyone remember?

Hi lightgy, I think that was me. The place was Maracas, and they had some special on a board out front like $1.99 beer and $2.99 nachos or something like that. The seating was outdoors and the beer was cold, what more could I ask for?

Thanks, Z. That's the one. I can't wait to try it. Thanks again.
