I think we place them along our journeys to help us feel at home when we happen upon them on other trips...kind of that comfort of civilization in the middle of nowhere thing.

a pile of rocks does count as civilization, right ?

we also usually place them shoulder height or higher to keep you and Hal from having it too easy kicking them over.

did you figure out where it is Perry ?

Looks to be pretty high so I'll be coming down from the top. I've been too sedentary this year to go bottom up like you guys. I actually have a pretty good idea where this is; I just need some time off.

And the height won't bother me. I have a hiking stick.

Looks like it's close to a couple helo-rescue areas!!!!

I'd say you guys rode the tram up & hiked a couple hundred feet over to get these shots, I know how lazy you guys are!!!

If you 2 keep doing these, yer gonna run outta of ridges to climb on San J.
The next one will be a little to the south, it's plenty steep, as you know!!
