WOW.
I just did Cactus to Clouds for the first time ever this last Saturday and it was one of the most difficult physical things I have ever done. And I have run two marathons, including one in Death Valley (that doesn't make it harder, but people seem to be impressed by that one...).
It took me and my fiance SIXTEEN HOURS to do the whole thing - so in retrospect, we (I) should've been in better shape!
I can't believe how fast some of you have hiked this one.
But thank you for all your info sharing - we gleaned good info from this message board.

Go womantalk! Great job both of you.

I liked your aside comment about the Death Valley marathon.

By the way, I think just the museum to the tram is roughly equal to a marathon - and at the end of a marathon, you stop. Going on up to the top of a mountain and back is kinda crazy, which is why it's so fun.

How cool that you and your fiance got to experience such a challenge together. Now, picture doing C2C every day, and you have an idea what parenthood is like!

Just kidding. Parenthood is more whitewater rafting: You're either having a ton of fun or drowning, and you're never really sure which.

Hope to see you out on the trail soon!

Postby Cy Kaicener » Tue May 29, 2007 2:12 am

Welcome to c2c addicts unannonymous forum Jeannie, and thanks for a great trip report. Most of us are whipped just getting up to the tram which takes me a full eight hours. The guy that passed you could have been Scott. :)
