I did Fuller to the peak and back last Sept. It's about 16 mile round trip and was more strenuous and exposed than i remembered from previous hikes 10+ years prior. I'd wait a bit until more of the snow is gone. Deer Springs and Little Round Valley should have running water well into the summer.

My TR from last year. Easily underestimated, but a beautiful hike.

A great trail...one of the first I hiked on the mountain. It does get warm on the upper sections later in the day though because of the exposure to the east. Fantastic views of the upper Snow Creek drainage from the divide/ridge section. Please let us know the conditions if you go and enjoy.

A bunch of people on the board did this as part of the hike from Snow Creek to the Tram. Here's my trip report from when I did it.

Hal,

Great trip. Hmm... that has me thinking :)

I like to do loops, but it would be hard and boring to get back there without some back-tracking. Also, needs to be timed just right to minimize snow and heat, plus maximize water resurces.

Hi Don. The only trouble with Fuller Ridge is the same problem I run into with Fish Creek over in San G: I spend an extra 30-40 minutes each way in the car, driving that winding dirt road. It's not a bad road, it's just wasted time that I like to spend on the trail instead.

If we do the PCT from Snow Creek (not the mountaineer route that they've been doing this winter), it's included in the hike without the extra drive, but it does make for a long day!

Hey, be sure to give a TR on the snow on Marion when you go.

I love fuller ridge trail. It is my favorite trail to enter the wilderness.
