Florian,

Neverwashasbeen is right, and when you turn 62 it only costs $10...for life! I know this for a fact since I bought one this year. And I didn't even have to alter my driver's license!
I can't think when I concentrate!

My boots cost $39 at Walmart. I'm serious. -Florian

every climb I've done this year with crampons..including 6 trips up San Jacinto /snowcreek, have been done in a $80 pair of Merrills (not very stiff on a steep chute)

...some times my feet have gotten cold though.
