Even if the snow consolidates, aren't those crevasse-like things covering the lower section? It's my understanding that when the season passes, there's water flowing underneath where you are walking. Maybe wait until next late-March and early-April?...

I'm not going back up this year...six weekends in a row gives you a really good idea of what is going on under that snow below 6500',we poked through in areas where you thought it was deep stable snow, only to find it a thin bridge over a 10' drop to rocks below.It definitely is disappearing from the under side very quickly, and the snow up top just isn't what it used to be a month ago. Be real careful if you go.

also, that approach in the heat is going to have you even more worn out by the time you get to the snow.
