Hi Norma, That trip turned into a march to get out of hell trip. a real slog in that soft mushy snow..way uphill for hours...the kind where your just wanting it to let you go, and then you realized your the one..the only power source to get you out of the nightmare.

I may have been up there enough for the year.

need somewhere else to go play.

and you ? whattsup ?

heading to the zone... the Whitney Zone... for some snow camping. i haven't suffered enough frostbite yet this season. :shock:

Now I know who is responsible for all those elegant Zen garden/Feng Shui cairns on the Skyline. Thanks for blazing the trail. We'll have to start referring to you guys as Lewis and Clark.

Hey, about those cairns...I know what halhiker will be doing this weekend! Check the toes of his shoes on Monday, I bet they're all scarred up with rock debris on them!

I'm glad you guys have made a safe if insane season of it on SC. I'm still wondering if it might be doable with no snow on a cool autumn day before the first snows begin.

Hope to see you in the next week or two out there.
