Holy Moly is right! glad you are safe and chalk it up to an interesting adventure. and thankfully, you were not being unduly harassed by rent-a-cops, just buck-a-thorn.

Ellen, maybe you could test a clothing fabric for a manufacturer that is breathable yet impenetrable by manzanita and buckthorn? hate to see you so bloodied up. Ouch! :(
