Folly Peak, NW chutes?

Postby DaddyLongLegs » Sun Apr 04, 2010 10:09 pm

Does anyone know anything about climbing the chutes on the northwest side of Folly Peak? According to my map, accessing the chutes would require ascending the East Branch of the West Fork of Snow Creek.

Folly Peak, NW Chutes

I only know of one ascent up the West Fork of Snow Creek from the bottom. It took much longer than the experienced party anticipated. Technical ice and rock climbing, ran out of food, several days overdue. The member of the party I talked to said it was the hardest climb he'd ever done.

Might be fun, or not.
