BTW -- great screen name
I went up Miller, San J and Jean with Lance and Karl yesterday. Early in the day, the snow was consolidated (though very lumpy from other hikers in heavily traveled sections). Have not been on the trail to Round Valley, so don't know the conditions for that route. Wore microspikes up the Sid Davis drainage to the base of Miller Saddle, then strapped on crampons. We started heading down a bit before 1 PM and the snow had really softened up. I slid around a lot in the drainage on the way back.
There's a chance of snow tomorrow and Tuesday, though little accumulation of snow is expected.
Miles of smiles,
Ellen
