Hi Cy! Interesting links.

Hey, I've been trying to find a brief video clip on one of the links you posted one time, but I haven't been able to find it. There was a clip of a guy ice climbing a giant pillar, and when he hits the pillar with his ice axe to climb another step up, the entire pillar lets go and begins to fall directly down with him on it. Do you remember seeing that? Do you know if it was a real clip? If you know where it is, will you post the link for me?

Thanks,

z

Zip - Unfortunately I do not remember that link, but if it comes back to me I will post it. Can you remember if the climber's name was Ueli Steck or could it have been Will Gadd. Was it a youtube link or from Summitpost?

No, it wasn't a You Tube thing, it was embedded in the site. They only played about 3 seconds of it, then it cut to a different video. I seem to remember it being on a site that had to do with climbing in the Alps or something like that.

Thanks Cy, that was it! Man, I wonder if the guy was okay? I'll have to show this to Fernando - he's all excited about trying out that vertical ice climbing stuff!
