very late and mixed up shots of Fernando and I going up Skyline in a blazing 11 hours. 2 of those miles took 7 hrs. unfortunately, there just arent many photos of the hell part of the trip. camera only seemed to come out during "happy times"...next time I'm taking pictures of hell. weird how it turns out these are the more memorable trips...

Wow Steve & Fernando, that was epic.
There's some really great photos in there, only the kind found in weather & wilderness. To bad you didn't have helmet cam, we could have heard all the ##$$%%^^&&** you were blurting out in 3 ft. of powered crap!
Those viewing need to realize this is very risky for all but those with tons of experience in weather, great knowledge of this trail & terrain & super fit.
Even then this Mt. can bite hard!
We'll now there's even more layers up there, will be a long time till melt.

See you on the trail.

Wow - some of those pictures are amazing like the feat itself.
Anything else you do will be easy compared to that epic.
I hope nobody else tries this for a long time with the additional snow.

the rope was tied off and left in a couple areas, just to be used to help get through them easier and a little quicker on subsequent trips. however, shortly after we went through there, two people were rescued and the cavalry rolled up our rope. oh well, im sure its for the better.

Scott, it's weird how quite you get in those kind of ordeals, all of those thoughts are there, but so internal. All I was doing was trying to focus and move ahead.

Now, had we had video and Tina had been there......

lol
So true. When everyone's tired, grumpy, and most likely p*off,
the last thing they want to see is a camera pointing at them.
Often time, the dedicated camera man/woman has other priorities themselves, like... survival.

I am so friggin' jealous that I can't be out there and share the wilderness right now. My work schedule is temporarily ridiculous.

I'm constantly amazed at the conditions I see guys wearing shorts in. My body demands proper layers in the cold - or heat. Makes me want to shiver just looking at you in the snow and rain in shorts!

Wow, incredible pictures. As someone who is working up to his first Skyline (later in the year, of course), I can't say whether I'm more excited or intimidated.
