"slight dusting" above the tram!

Wow, haven't seen this amount of snow on San Jac for a while, truly amazing.
The tram folks have been busy removing ice from everything, including the cables, (not fun work for sure!), heating the doors & cars to work, removing 4-5 Ft for people to access the forest, restoring power after big winds knocked it out.
I was able to catch the trail blazers by following the "sidewalk" on the way up, then busted a bit of tr. myself, this will burn some calories indeed, and kick your heart rate up.
Even with good snowshoes, we were post-holin up to our knees in areas of drifts.
We dug out the door to the mt. hut & warmed up a bit, blowin pretty good at the summit, as Kathy's cool video shows in the other post.
The atmosphere at the higher elevations was spectacular, even with spindrift in your face!

Here's some more shots before my camera gave up.

Great spending the day with some mt. friends, thanks!

Have fun if you go!

Hi Steve, ditto, I really had a blast, glad you didn't go looking for eqpmt. in 10 ft. of powder today.
We'll go out & see some waterfalls soon as it begins to melt!
