Palm Canyon to Bullseye Rock

Postby halhiker » Thu Dec 31, 2009 11:19 pm

I did my final hike of 2009 in the Indian Canyons out to Bullseye Rock. This is a very interesting area, full of Indian history. The eastern slopes of the San Jacintos see very little visitation and have tons of interesting terrain. I'm hoping to do a backpack trip here in the spring. Hopefully, we'll get some more storms soon so there will be plenty of water.

Hal it's been fun reading you trip reports, and seeing all the trails you've explored and it was a real pleasure meeting you on the Fuller Ridge this year. Thanks for what you did that day - that was a quality day by a "quality guy".

Have a Happy New Years and congratulations on that amazing accomplishment - you deserve a couple of days of "Rest and Relaxation". :D

Hope to see you on the trail again soon.

Hi Hal,

Congrats on reaching your goal, time for a new pair of shoes!!!
I am very intrigued with the Bulleye's area, especially the area SW behind there, some good falls too. Found many skelatal remains, (possibly mt. loin ambush area for deer).

Here's to many more explorations in the wilds!

Hal, sorry i missed out thursday sounds like a great hike. Working all day New Years eve was what I got to do.

You know more about the Cahuilla than most people I know, and that knowledge makes hikes trully enjoyable. Really would like to hike with you and ss both back there.

About the Blog.. are you still going to be adding whatever your up to to it ? I hope you keep it active and the info on it remains available. Thanks for sharing your hikes and your wonderful insight and your sense of humor, it has been fun and informative all year.

Happy New Year Hal
