Howdy Kathy :)

What an absolute pain in the butt -- I am so sorry

I met some of the nice folks from the meet-up group -- they went to Round Valley.

I am happy to accompany you tomorrow if you want to go up. You certainly deserve a nice day doing something you enjoy after yesterday.

Miles of smiles,
Ellen

Too bad about the hassles Kathy.

Like Ellen and crew, we bailed as well. Earlier, we ran into Ranger Charles at Round Valley and he said there wasn't enuf coverage to avoid the Chinquapin and they were not breaking trail beyond that point.

We headed up to Tamarack anyway and then got a bit off route following some older snowshoe tracks. Since we couldn't get a good visual either -- and I left my altimeter/compass/watch at home -- aargh!, we followed our tracks back b4 they blew away.

Still a nice day in the outdoors playing in the precip. It was great to see you all. :D

I'm glad everyone got to spend some time in the snow today.

Ellen: If only the forecast were better - it would be great to get a chance to snowshoe with you, but those 50 mph wind gusts predicted for the mountains tomorrow are enough to keep a wimp like me home.

Patrick: It is amazing what people buy when they steal someone's credit or check card information. When I saw all those charges for videos, music, applications, and games - I just didn't get it.

As Bossco stated the tram webpage states that -
Hours of Operation
Cars depart at least every half hour with the first car up Monday-Friday at 10am; first car up weekends and holiday periods at 8am. Last car up 8pm and last car down 9:45pm. Sorry no pets allowed.
The Tramway’s Annual Maintenance is scheduled for September 13 through October 1, 2010. Reopening Saturday, October 2, 2010. Dates are subject to change without notice.

If we get HALF of what the forecast says is possible, that'd be awesome!

hey guys, im gunna be heading up tommorow with my family and just mess around, but if anyone wants to meet up, maybe we could work something out. Unfortunatly, my crampons aren't here yet so no real peak fun cuz of the ice, but maybe some self arrest practice. Anyone else going up tommorow?
