Cy: I'll never forget how nice you were to me when you showed me the way up the Skyline and talked me out of going into the snow/ice on the upper section without being properly prepared. My friend, I hope you had a great birthday and I hope to see you on the trail again soon.

Same here, Cy. Except, as you recall, we didn't take your advice and were forced into a winter bivy! :oops:

Then you were kind enough (again) to show me the way to Long Valley in the spring after the snows had melted. :wink:

Many thanks Walt,Dave and Kathy. I stopped counting my birthdays at 69

I am hoping to do Skyline this Saturday at midnight with the Sierra Club if my back is not troubling me. They are doing the full c2c.
