Thanks again for your company and familiarity with the area on Sunday. It was a pleasure spending the day with you and Randy. The hike was the high point of my trip. I wish I could do you both justice with a photo at the summit but apparently, I didn't take one. Here's one near Coffman's Crag. Please thank Randy for me again, as well.

To anyone who runs into Leslie or Randy on the trail, say hi. You won't meet better hiking partners.

Hi Kevin!

I'm glad I checked the Forum to view your message. I, as well, had a great day. C2C has been on my "to do" list for a while so I'm very happy to have accomplished it. Randy, did a great job as our guide and I enjoyed getting to know you on the trail. Thanks for partnering up with us. Very different landscape for you, but different is great too.

Are you on Facebook? If so, do a search for "Leslie Barker". I'll add you and you can view the pics I posted of the hike.

If you're down in the spring I would like to venture up the mountain again and you can join me.

Take care and thanks again.

Tina,

I heard you broke 4 hours. That's an amazing feat! How many tries does it take to accomplish that?

This was my first time up Skyline and we did go C2C. I'm just really happy to have made it. I do plan on taking a group in the spring.

I love reading all the posts and it sounds like you are all doing Snow Creek this weekend. Good luck and have fun! Is that one sketchy at all or similar to C2C?

Hi Leslie, 3:58 on skyline that day, i was so happy. it has taken me a little more than a year in a half to accomplish this one.
i have never done the snow creek hike, i think the route we are going is not a tough one, just long. if you would like to join we are starting at 330am.
hope to see you out there again soon.

Thanks for the invitation, Leslie. I’m definitely interested in doing this again next year. I booked Shasta and Rainier for June and July so fall might work better in my schedule. If I don’t make your spring climb, maybe you’ll be interested in a November trip? (November’s a nice break from the weather here.)

I’m not on Facebook but it’s time. If I can figure it out, I’ll see you there. Otherwise, feel free to drop me a note at kdbrownlee@comcast.net when you start planning for spring. We need to share dog photos, too. Any friend of terriers is a friend of mine!

Kevin

P.S. Tina – Nice to run into you, as well. Your party of three was the only group we saw below the tram. It was quiet on the trail

Tina, Again, congrats on this past weekend! Really amazing! I'm out of town this weekend, but thanks for the invite. Have a great time and I'll be sure to check out the reports. Till next time on the trail...

Kevin, I sent you an email so be sure to look for it.
