Snow Creek to Tram via PCT 11/17/09

General Palm Springs area.

Howdy Hal :)

THANK YOU! 3 mph an hour for the first 18 miles, Holy Cow, you were flying :o I'll take several hours longer than you, so a 3:00 to 3:30 AM start time makes good sense. Sounds like I'll need my headlamp at the beginning and end of this adventure.

I really appreciate the heads-up on the snow/icy conditions. It is amazing how much a small amount of snow can slow one's pace. I also don't care to ever slide down hill on ice again  and will bring my trusty Microspikes.

Miles of smiles,
Ellen

There is water in one creek between Fuller Ridge and Deer Springs although it was iced over. But I'll have beverages at the Fuller Ridge Trailhead

Yay, thank you so much Hal.

Thanks Hal for all the info and being willing to refesh the weary!! I have never taken the elevator up to the tram bar, but if there was going to be a first time, this may be it! My legs will be rubber when i am done.

I do not own microspikes (yet.) hmm... wondering if it's time to invest?? :?:

Howdy Norma,

I highly recommend Microspikes as does my plated and screwed left ankle  Some REI stores carry them.
